Removing Valve on 97 6v CAM

I would like to ask any of you who would be taking your valve out if you could post some pictures. I'm still a noob here but I learned some of the stuff from this forum about my v6 CAMRY. I wanted to remove the valve and replace the gasket because I'm getting minimal leak on the front. Also one of the bolts that hold the gasket poped on me and it needs to be replaced. Where can I get bolts like this. I went to the closest AutoZone and they didn't't have it, Please Help.

Thanks

Before I remove the valve. I'm guessing I should disconnect the battery?? Also should I drain the oil before I open the valve???

do you mean valve cover? if your tryin to just remove the valve cover then just disconnect the wires to the plugs, remove the plastic sheild and remove, coil packs and unbolt it. it may take a little love to pop it off. and what do you mean "poped" the bolt snapped? if so ull have to get a kit or shop to remove the snapped bolt and then just use one of the other bolts to find another. also a haynes manual, which can be bought at an auto parts store, will be LOADS of help with little jobs like this.

I took the bolt out and only end of it snapped. Do you think PeP Boys may have it?? Well I will try to go to couple of places today and ask them. I'm sorry I meant valve cover, I found Sticky with valve removal. It helped a lot . Also Do I need to drain oil before taking valve cover off? My guess is yes.

Try the Autozone website, they have self help repair info with drawings for valve cover removal.

I found something but I'm wondering about this step

Drain and recycle the engine coolant. Is that needed to do. So I don't have to drain oil when opening the valve??

No, you dont have to drain the oil before taking it off, just let the car sit a bit before doing it, so all the oil drains back down to the pan.

Which valve cover are you resealing? From the way you are describing you must be doing the front valve cover. The valve cover bolts are dealer only item, if I remember correctly they are the spring washer type.

Where do you see the oil leaking from? If it is around the front backing plate area, it maybe the cam seal.
