I'm sorry man, you should have take off the emblem and then paint it. You will have to get original paint color and fix that .

rule number 1...always remove emblems to paint them
with the "toyota, camry and trim level (LE, XLE, CE) you can remove them with dental floss, and either get a fresh set from the dealer or use double sided tape to reinstall them...never paint emblems on the car!
and its the blue painter's tape you should have used FYI.

first, what car, on the 97-01 trunks, the toyota symbol also has 2 pieces that go through the trunk. Go get goo gone too, youll need a whole bottle. Mine is mounted now by the two pieces that protrude into the trunk (underneath the black inner cover), using glue.

try using overspray remover to salvage the paint....

compound...lots of it....

and hope that there was some wax on there before you painted or something, so that the paint was on top of something other than your clearcoat...worse come to worst, take your clear coat off with it and re-clear it or something after....it'd still look better than it does now
