new problem: feint squealing sound

I notice a new sound today from my 2001 Camry LE. When I turn the steering wheel all the way, I hear a slight squealing sound. What could this be?

PS belt. Try ajusting it. You shouldn't turn the steering full lock for long anyway.

Thanks for your help. I will check the power steering belt out.

I only use the steering turned full lock for a split second when I am parking or turning around.

if you are turning it until it hits the stop at the end and that is when it squeaks, its because its trying to power past the stop. dont turn it all the way to the lock (stop).

Thanks very much for that tip.

I really don't believe we are turning it too much. It's difficult to know when the wheel is turned all the way until you hit that end point. As soon as I do hit it, I stop turning the wheel and proceed with my parking or U-turn. In the future after touching that end point, I will back off a touch.

Thanks again--
