3rd Generation cold light question?

ok so during the warmer months my lights work just perfect and no warning lights in the dash at all. On cold mornings i get the warning light on my cluster saying i have a rear light out. It goes away in mid afternoon when i get outa school and its a little warmer outside. Anyone know what this could be? i shorted wire that gets frosted in morning? because i have checked my lights several times in the morning before i leave and replaced bulbs. this is the 2nd year my car has done this. It doesnt bother me much but i was just curious. anyone know?

Chris

Its most likely a break inside you wiring harness, I had the same thing happen to my 93. I got lucky and break int he wiring was acutally inside my trunk where the wire harness comes up to my passenger side lights right at the bend by the connector. I opened up the harness and used a multi meter and checked along the wiring till I found it, I bought some wire of the same gauge at a local autoparts store and spliced in to repair it. I put shrink wrap over top of the solder joints and re-wrapped the wiring harness with the electrical tape the previous owner had put on it.

^ Yeah, as scoprius said, most likely a break in the wire in the trunk.
