3rd Generation wiggle and vibrate. need help

hello TN,

i have search the internet on what's the possible cause of steering wheel vibrating at highspeed (60-70mph) and wiggle (sometimes) at low speed (15-30mph) but didn't find a solid answer. so i thought i'll post it in here since lot of us own a camry.

i have had this problem probably about a year ago, and it was worst. it's like all the plastic parts inside the car start to get lose. so about a month ago i decided to change some old worn out parts for the car. list below.

- front axle
- polyurethane control arm bushing
- ball joints
- swaybar links
- tires have about 80% rotated
- brake job
- wheel alignment
- gen 4 engine dogbone mount

after the parts have all replaced. i still feel the vibration and wiggle though it's not as bad as before. are there any of you have this problem before?? this is my daily driver and i am trying to take car of it since it was given to me by my parents and it was my first car. it's just getting annoying and it's scare me sometimes especially at freeway.

BTW, do you guys know if the tire pressure have something to do with it?

Had similar problem on my Camry. Did many of the same things you did. Wound up being my wheel bearings. Here's a link to the DIY thread I made for the rears; Link. And here's the DIY thread for the fronts: Link.

Edit:
Oh, and I doubt tire pressure could have something to do with it. A bad tire, perhaps.

BMR is correct. Tire maybe, tire pressure no. If you are feeling the vibration in your steering, rotate the tires front to back, if the vibration is gone from the steering then your front tires were causing the problem.

hubs

Worn rear axle hubs gave me the same results as tread separation. Replaced one and my problem was fixed. Jack the rear end and inspect with wheel assy on hub. Does it move side to side?

Have the tires been rebalanced? Sometimes we forget the simple things.
