3rd Generation leak in exhaust manifold

hey guys i have this wierd click click click sound coming from my car, or maybe its a tick tick tick sound.. u can hear it when u rev it around 1k - 4k rpms but the sound gets a tad louder when the car is in drive, the sound is quit annoying, a mechanic heard it and said that it sounds like a leak in the intake manifold gasket maybe? the car is a 94 camry le v6 3.0 with 130k miles

what do u guys think it can be ?

Chill out, it's only been a couple hours, there aren't people constantly patrolling these forums who know the answer.

Anyway, I don't think a leaking gasket would "tick". I can't tell you what would though, as I have no experience with the v6's in camrys.

open your hood,
have a friend, family member rev the engine (or you can grab the throttle body, but might make it difficult to maneuver) while you try and listen to find out where it's coming from.
i.e. top of engine, bottom end, exhaust.

One of your exhaust manifold studs might have broken off. I had a similar sound before as well. It happened on my 1988 Camry as well as my 1992 Nissan Maxima.

On a 4-cylinder, it's easy to check, cheap and not too hard to fix.

On the V6, for the front exhaust manifold, the top 3 studs are plainly visible from the top. It's immediately to the right of the Oil Dipstick. There are more studs on the underside of the manifold. You'll have to feel for them (when the engine is cold) above the oil filter.

Repeat for the rear manifold.
