driving down 25, a deer ran out in front of me. i slammed the brakes and they locked up and i spun out. the rear axle is bent, and the front bumper is busted.
how much am i lookin at for a new axle. im lookin to save the car, and possibly buy a donor v6 and swap that all over as well. but the axle is my main priority
im not sure about the frame. i didnt check it. i have a rollback bringing it to the house tomorrow. then ill give it a good look over. pray to god that the frame is okay. it almost flipped, but we were partly in a ditch so it didnt, thank god.
where in ky are you again? there are several camry's being parted out right now that I know of.

Would think there should be lots Camry at salvage yards to pull parts. If you have rear disks also look at Avalon and Lexus (almost the same cars). The drum brake axle would be even more available. If a yard does not have the part ask them if they can check other yards and have them pull it and ship it.
Used to be able to get both disk brake axles and all the parts needed to change over from the rear from drum to disk for something like $300-400.
Might check auto pasts site to compare part numbers between generations of models. Some front end suspension pars are the same for Gen 3 and 4 but don't know about the rear.

an axle is per say the point at which each corner or end of which a wheel attaches to. Axle does not have to mean what distributes power to wheels. The rear axle assembly right or left are in all the arms that connect to the rear hub. Each side has this and they are connected to an axle beam in the center of the car. if you have a camry go look under neath the rear and you will see better what I am trying to explain.

myfreecamry I appreciate it man. I'll look into that. I'm in Georgetown btw, or hillbilly hell as others call it.
hopefully a rollback can bring it here today. I though about just finding a donor v6 and just swapping everything out, the subframe, rear axle and disk brake assembly, harnesses and what not. 400 is almost as much as a donor car
well, i went to the local pick and pull today. looked at some of the camrys up there. they want like 300 for a rear axle with disks, 100 for the proportioning valve and brake lines, and about 200 for the bumper, bumper support, and the support brackets. i think i might just buy a donor 95-96 v6 and swap all that over cuz they only want like 1000 for the whole car.
but i want to get a gen3.5 rmm lip for the bumper at some point, so ill have to have the gen3.5 bumper. will the gen 3.5 bumper support and brackets fit on the gen3? this question is just incase i dont swap over the v6 subframe and all, which is highly unlikely. if the car is down for a bit, i might as well do it all
