Japan OCI on 1MZFE

What would be the severe service OCI with a synthetic oil like PP or Mobil1 on my 99 V6. I do a lot of stop and go. Currently driving around 60 miles each day.

You'll never know without oil analysis (OA). Start with at least double the OCI of dino oil. You should get a TBN if you do OA as that will tell you the contamination fighting ability left in the oil. For stop and go an hour meter would better give you an oil use OCI.

If you really want an active sensor system...you could go with Intellistick fer $500.

A couple of $20 - $30 oil analysis tests should do it.

Are you avoiding 'Changing the Oil' due to time or avoiding "Wasting the Oil" if it is still able to protect engine?

I have been changing my oil filter at 5000 Kms and oil at 15000 km intervals.
