so i went with my friend to pull-a-part today and got my friend 2 door hinges for his gti and i found this nice $12 find:
its pretty nice and in real good shape, at least to me it is. The one thing wrong with it is the right side (looking from the back). The bottom of the spoiler fell off (the part with the screw) but nothing a little gorilla glue and super glue cnt fix
anyway...is the wires coming from the bottom of the spoiler that is hooked to the light, a kind of plug and play? do i need like an adapter or something or can a shop get it hooked up with no problem?
If u have le trim with the glass trunk panel, simply hook it to the brake lights wire.
Body work will be another story.
well i got the spoiler off an XLE nut i got an LE and when u say glass trunk panel do u mean the camry plastic panel on the back of the trunk? i got that so i should just plug up?
oh i know i got to drill holes and stuff ill let a professional do that lol
Yes sir, I said glass because the pannel of DX and SE are also made of plastic.
Just for the record, I dont remember seeing any spare hardness in my LE trunk, so u might have to cut wire from one of 2 brake lights in the panel. However, If u plan to swap to SE panel, then u will have 2 spare hardness for the spoiler brake.
Louisville Pull-A-Part is an awesome place. There are 20 camry's up there right now from 92-97. Thats where I got my complete rear disc brake swap for $50. Louisville PULL-A-PART FTW!

surprisingly enough, when i removed the black fabric material piece on the inner trunk lid, i had a harness with a plug that plugged up right with the spoiler plug. so for me it was plug and play.
for the record, LE V6 coupe 95.
