Electrical Flickering

well a little while back i noticed my hid kit was flickering when i was at idle at first i thought it was the kit and i checked all the wires and they were fine. I then looked at my gauges and noticed they had a slight flicker as well just not as noticable as the xenons. i also noticed my dome light flickers as well. and this is not a big flicker like on and off its just noticeable mainly through the headlights. what could cause this??? i dont know how old my battery is but the car still starts pretty fast. could it be the alt??

also when i turn the blinker on.... when the light comes on there is a much bigger blink in the flicker just when the light comes on its really weird

ill make a video to explain it a little easier but if you have any suggestions let me know

I have a similar issue with my Gen 3. The headlights and dome light dims and returns to normal when I brake.
Your issue sounds like maybe your alternator, or normal electrical issues. I would wait for more responses before I do anything, but I suggest taking it to a mechanic or someone that can check this out for you. Video pl0x. :P

If the blinker slows down this is sign of increased electrical load dragging down the system or lack of electrical power to begin with.

What kinds of load are you putting on the electrical system, brighter headlights that draw more watts, large stereo amp, etc.

The next time this happens lessen the electrical load or increase RPM above 1500 and determine if the blinker flashes at the normal rate.

The alt may have low output, battery issue, corrosion on battery cables/terminals, poor battery cable ground.

Yea this isnt normal. Its probably the battery or the alternator going bad. Or a very slight chance that something is drawing a HUGE load. Not likely. Either a battery dieing, or alternator windings going bad. Have you tried the big 3?

i have a system and i never did the big three and i also dont have a cap and i know thats bad. Could this result in making my alt getting ready to take a crap on me from bumping without a cap and doing the big three

this may help.... the flickering goes away when i turn the car off

The alt typically does not fail due to overload. You might kill the battery though.
