3rd Generation paint question

so ive been wandering this. I have a dark green camry (seen in sig) and it needs to get repainted cause i have sunspots, deep scratches galor.

Does the price for paint usually depend on the color?

Like for say, would Silver be cheaper then my stock paint?

I love that silver color like on kings for example and the stock silver on gen 5's and 6's I was just curious if it would be cheaper at all.

Chris

I think it would look a whole lot better to have a silver and black theme compared to a green and black. IMO

For the basic paint job with cheap paint, color wouldn't matter.

Do u have black interior ?

cheapest paint job would be the same color. that way you ONLY have to paint the exterior. simple gloss colors can be cheaper but your paying for the work not the paint for the most part.

Black interior will go well with any exterior color. Go silver.

True - painting doorjambs and such adds cost. BUT... you're doing it once, so consider the value you get for the bucks. You can sometimes save money on the paint job by doing a lot of the prep yourself (removing trim, lights, etc.). Talk to your bodyshop. Preferably, BEFRIEND your bodyshop.

I agree that the cheapest paint job would be one that didn't paint the jambs. 2 quarts of Omni is like $65 and would do it up good plus clear or shoot single-stage..

Or for a full re-paint, you could go Kirker which is about $50 / gallon for full Urethane...
