I have a 94 XLE V6 that needs motor mounts replaced. There is frequent "clunking" while accelerating and slowing down to a stop. There is also some engine vibration when the car is idle or at a stoplight.
I took my car into a local shop yesterday and was told that I need the front and rear motor mounts replaced. The cost to replace including labor is $300 for the front and the rear, $400.
This morning I called another mechanic (toyota specialist) to get another estimate and he told me the V6 model of my vehicle does not have a rear motor mount and only a bushing(?) in the back that would be replaced. The estimate he gave was $300 to replace the front mount and $150 for the rear "bushing".
Obviously the second estimate is cheaper but, can anyone confirm this for me? Also, if I do have front AND rear mounts, is $700 a fair price to replace them?
