good aftermarket battery for 2.2l

I might be in need of a replacement battery for my 92 camry. Whats a good aftermarket battery, that's not too expensive, but has good amount of CCA's.

Thanks,
Adam

Get one from Costco best warrenty. Its like 4 years free replacement then Pro Rated. If not try SAMs club a good batt with hogh CCA like 700 to 800 for under 80 bucks. Not bad. Normal Camry batt at Costco cost mt like 65-70 bucks.

yellow tops are designed for more of your high stereo needs (and deep cycle capabilities), while red tops are more for reliable starts and maintainace free issues

I bought a Die Hard Gold Battery for my Maxima in 1998. After 10 years and 120K miles, that battery still starts my Maxima just fine. Go to any Sears and they will have it.

+1

If you don't have a high end stereo and just need a regular battery, Costco's housebrand is a very good deal. I bought one for my 2000 Camry 2.2L (same engine as the 1992 2.2L) and I'm fairly certain it was about $60+tax and core back in 2006 when I replaced the factory battery. I replaced the battery strictly as PM not because it failed.

I was able to change the battery in the parking lot and then return the old one for core charge.

Believe it or not, Consumer Reports recently rated the Everstart Maxx, sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, as a CR best buy. It is listed for $75. You will need a size 24F for your Camry. Some Wal-Marts that do oil changes will install it free for you, so you don't even have to get your hands dirty; an important factor up North hear as the current temperatures have really dropped lately. See the Nov. 08 edition of Consumer Reports if you are interested in the whole report.

Ive had an EXIDE NASCAR SELECT battery in my car. I was skeptical about the battery at first, now I can say the battery is great, its been in the car for 9 years, but I'm not exactly sure how long. Not one time has the battery not cranked the engine over. I forget which battery I had previously, but every NY winter I was guarenteed the need of jumper cables atleast 5 times a winter. I'm pleased with my current battery. I'm looking for a replacement currently, not sure which though.

I love my optima yellow top. 6 years, and one front end collision later with no problems. I went out of town for almost a month, and when I came back, my Camry started right up. Best "bang for the buck" battery IMO.
