Hello all. I'm Robertand the proud owner of a previously great running 93 Corolla. The auto is now deceased, (which I'll get into later) - but wanted to celebrate the arrival of my "new" '94 Camry le coupe. I've wanted a Camry since the first one I saw in 93. YEEHAW!

Anyways, it's a 2 owner 170,000 mile car with a newer 100,000 mile 4 cylinder, and an auto tranny. It got around 190 psi on my pre-purchase compression check (though I admit I only checked one cylinder,) and seems to be in very reasonable condition.

I've been lurking here on and off for quite a while, but previously only for corolla stuff. So, I've been doing some catching up reading this last week. The car has the oil in the spark plug tube thingy, but it's only in the 2 of them which are right below the oil fill, plus that area's discolored leading me to think the PO may have just spilled oil in that area, which led to the oil in the tubes. Whether it be that or the seals, now I know the fix for that - Thanks! Plugs need changed - BAD.. PO admitted they hadn't been changed since they bought it, (and who knows how long before that,) and thanks to y'all, I know which plugs to buy. The oil pan will need replaced eventually, due to what looks to be like maybe the person who changed it out, dropped it on the concrete or something, and bent/scraped the area where the pan mounts to the block. Then they put some rtv or something there to try and seal it. It seems to have worked and though I may be a redneck who in a past life would've said "Yeehaw, now slap some duct tape on it so it's still metal lookin'!!!" - those days are gone. It needs a new dog bone motor mount (I think that's what you guys called it) which I've learned can be swapped out for the bigger one... Thanks again.

Besides all that - cracked windshield, broken antenna (which will get the s2000 treatment,) missing driver side interior door handle bezel thingy, and driver side window off the track - and voila!

Yesterday, I decided to take the door panel off to see what was up with the window.. it only took about 5 minutes to have the whole thing off, and diagnosed.... SWEET. I already love working on this car.

That all leads me to this question, my window motor works great, the cable goes back and forth, every thing seems in place.... except. The "regulator?" (stamped metal part that bolts to the window, and keeps the window in line on the track,) is broken. The white plastic inserts that are apparently injection molded onto the plate... part of them are broken away, allowing the stop on the cable which locates and holds the window, to come free, thereby allowing the window to just fall down into the door. Now, I've seen replacement assembly's on ebay and such, and thanks (once again) to y'all, even know which seller seems to be a good bet, still I'm disinclined to replace the whole thing, when all I need is a new plate. I can see the slot in the back of the plate/plastic piece, where the cable stop slides in, so I know that this is replaceable, I just can't find any source. Anybody know?

If I can't find one, then before I purchase the whole regulator assembly with motor and all, I'll clean the plastic on the plate real good with some acetone, place it back onto the cable/keeper where it goes, and then form enough epoxy around it all to retain it in place. If it works - GREAT, if not.... well - that's ok too.

Any responses are greatly appreciated, and if you've taken the time to read all the way through this long post, then thank you yet again.
