3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
When I replace my spark plugs, I noticed that one of the cylinders on the back, the entire plastic plug was smashed and broken. It was held together with electrical tape. I have been to Toyota trying to find a replacement, but have had no luck. I am hoping that someone here might be able to help. Here are some pics of the plug in question:
The number reads 11246
Also which cylinder is #1?
Thanks for your help in advance!

It's obviously a 6cyl. No gen3/3.5 4cyl. engine has a coil on plug configuration.
Personally, I'd just zip-tie it on to the coil, and call it a day. I'd rather do that, instead of finding a new one, and splicing it into the existing wiring which could cause more problems than just a broken clip.

The plug in the pic is not the one that I am worried about. The connector for the driverside back coilpack that the PO had just taped up with electrical tape. After I replaced the spark plugs the wires on that coilpack seem to want to move around causing a CEL. I am wanting to find just the plastic plug just so that I can stop getting a CEL randomly. Its just a pain.
Besides, the plug is a 2 piece plug so pulling out the old wires will be easy, then plugging in the wires on my car. Easy as pie!

Its going to be a Junk Yard item. Toyota probably carries it, but as the entire harness not just the plug. You can either go to the junk yard or leave it taped as it was. I would go to the junk yard and pick one up. You only need to splice two wires. not a hard feat.

Go to the junkyard, cut a coupe of the plugs off, then take the connector you got, and the one on your car, and take them apart to get the wires out untouched. Then slip the wires into the good plug. I do it all the time.
