98 Camry 250K miles cuts out

4 cyl, auto.
When stopped sometimes the car will almost die. have to keep foot on gas.
Been going on for months. It's worse if the fan is on, heat or air. I can turn the fan off and most of the time problem stops. And sometimes the fan is never on. It seems like it's running rough when on hwy but not sure. Replaced plugs and wires, valve cover gasket and fuel filter (non toyota parts if that makes a difference). Anybody have a clue, Thanks...

The battery is new but the positive will not stay tight on the post and the car wont crank and the alarm goes off.

It's an electronic ignition, don't think it has a D-cap & rotor. Do not know what
a IAC is.

Thanks for the info.

If the idle it too low or rough but the car otherwise runs OK might clean the IAC valve. This valve controls idle speed.

Do a TN search on IAC valve to get an idea of what is about.
