I have a couple questions on valve cover gasket replacement please!

Hi, I am planning on replacing the valve cover gasket for my 2000 CaMRY v6 le and I was wondering about a few things

1) Do I need RTV sealant (and what does the rtv stand for?)
2)Is there a write up or service manual here or else where (googled. searched for both the repair manual and a diy VCG guide for my car or gen.)
3) Is there anything I should do (maintenance or preventative) while I have it open??...i was planning on possibly painting it using a guide here!)

thanks guys!

1) RTV-Room Temperature Vulcanizing
2) Here is a link to a FSM: http://www.camrystuff.com/manuals/Ge...hanical_V6.pdf
3) Spark plug would be a good idea when you have the plenum off.
