93 camry cranks over but won't fire

Hello I have a 1993 toyota camry with the 5SFE engine 2.2 , I have checked The EFI fuse of course under the hood and inside the car, Replaced the ECM ,Igniter ,pick-up coil , and distributor. It will crank over the timeing belt is in tack the rotar button spins. I have set the timeing traced wires.I thought also that in maybe the spark plug wires may be bad because i am getting power to the the coil etc. Its driving me crazy its my wifes vehicle and she is very good at being mad about it rofl. I'm just wondering if there may be anything that i may have overlooked because i am no mechanic. So if anyone can give me some fresh input i would be greatly appreciative.

yes the car had half a tank when my half wit brother in law changed the battery on the car and when doing so put the neg to the pos and vice versa. The car has a 173000 miles on it. It was my grandfathers vehicle serviced every 3k miles. Someone said something about a crankshaft sensor but in the haynes it said on 95 models to check that but on my model it doesn't show it.

Ah! There are more fuses you have to check, if the battery had been connected backwards. The 80 or 100A fuse may have been blown. Most common problem when jumper cables or battery is connected backward.

Is the CEL on? It should be on when the engine is cranking. All the sensors can be good, but without power it is not going to run.

Ok I have replaced 100A the 80 was fine. and checked all fuses in relays inside the vehicle and under the hood including those behind the glove box. I have no idea what the CEL is.

Sorry i wasn't thinking CEL stands for check engine light and it is also on when i turn the key over. All my dash components work. i have replaced the entire ignition system besides the distributor cap plug wires and plugs. My brother in-law tried to start the car with the battery connected so i am assuming he left it on there for a good bit.

CEL = Check Engine Light, the yellow light with the 'engine' symbol.

Did you check the fuses with a meter or test light, to make sure that they are actually getting power?

Under the hood look for the diagnosis connector on the passenger side of the car.
Open the cap and look in the cap and find TE1, and E1.Use a small paperclip and connect these two terminals.Once they are jumped off, turn on the key to on posistion and count the flashes of the CEL.However many times the light flashes is the first digit, then it will pause for a second and start flashing again. This is the second digit of the code. The codes are two digit codes. It will pause inbetween codes if there is more then one code.
