3.5 finsh panel on a 3rd gen

will the trunk lid finish panel from a 95-96 fit on a 92'
i just like it betterand think it would look cleaner w/ a debadge.

Yes it will. It will NOT match the quarter mounted tail lights though, so it will look a bit out of place. But the Gen 3.5 quarter mounted lights are a direct swap too, and use the same bulb harness, so thats an easy swap.

thats what im planning to do too
but i wanted somebody else to do it first just to see how out of place it looks

The gen3.5 panel sticks out almost 1/2 inch further at the bottom than the gen3 tail lights. To make it match up, you'd have to get gen3.5 tail lights as well. I noticed that problem when I installed my red/clear gen3 tail lights. So, I bought a gen3 DX/SE panel to smooth everything out.
