Outside Handle

The weather frozed my drivers side handle and with little effort it broke when attempting to open the door. I'll need to order a color matching handle and follow the instructions and advice posted in this forum. This will be at a later time but for know I have a temporary fix idea that I want to run by you.

The handle broke off clean that is to say the plastic piece is flat with no jagged plastic (just a little bit of jag plastic). I have the idea of bonding the handle back together with two part quick drying epoxy. I will lift the handle that is attached to the door and place a wooden block under it so that the epoxy will almost be horizontal in the event it were to drip.

I need your feedback, advise, experience and opinions.

If this works I may hold off for a warmer day or even forget about it.

THX

I used an epoxy called PC7 to glue mine back together. It's really thick so dripping isn't a problem. And it cures very slowly, so you can push it around quite a bit when it's half-cured to form a nice fillet in the corners.
