ok so ive had foglights for a while even before i bought my viper alarm. The are halogen bulbs and i had a question. I was thinkin of taken them off the switch and hook them back to the parking lights. Since i would not need a power switch anymore, could i delete the relay? also when i lock my car, my parking lights blink. If i hooked them up to my parking lights, would that be bad for my fog lights to blink with my parking lights? I know hard to make sence of lol my parking lights blink once when i lock and twice when i unlock. and 4 times when i unlock after alarm goes off haha. anyways anyone know if this would ruin the fog light bulbs after to long?
I have mine wired to the parking lights (turn signals) along with my halos. I try and switch the fog lights off so that they don't blink on/off quickly. I don't know if it's bad for them or not but I imagine it would be since turning lights on/off causes more stress/wear on them.

only one way to find out i guess right? whats the worse that would happen? my $10 nokya jdm yellow fog bulbs going out? lol
Im just tired of accadentally forgeting that i left them on
yeah i had my wire up liek that and the bulbs didnt like that too much.. and it didnt take to long either.. lol... i just tap the wire into the seat heater fuse and when the car is off hte fog lights are off.. and when the car is on the "on" position the fogs will come on.. and i left my swtich and relays on so i can manually turn it on and off..

Keep the relay on the fog light and use the parking light as a trigger.
so in other words keep the wire harness i made and take the power wire and hook it to the parking light power? so i guess the relay would act as a safty from blinking with my alarm? because my parking lights blink with alarm.

I have this setup right now with my fogs. They are connected to my park brake lights (corner lights beside the headlight) via a splice and I still used a relay. I bought a few sets of H3 2500K bulbs on ebay, and so far after 4 months of use on the same bulb I have not encountered any problems.

I also have a compustar alarm hooked up and everytime I unlock my car, my park lights and fogs blink twice. When I lock the car the same lights blink once!
personally I love the way I have it hooked up. Unless you are running HID for fogs I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Also, when you wire the switch it is a good idea to splice into the park lights since it draw the least amount of current to turn on. Hence your switch will not heat up as much. If you have it hooked up to something that draws more current your switch will heat up more

yea it will be fine. The switch is there to control the on/off. I would put another switch in parallel with it so you can run both at the same time.
Also if one of your lights goes out, at least you can turn them off and not look like an idiot with 1 fog light on
