94 camry, radio install, no power

Hi, i am trying to install a deck into my sister's 94 camry. the car had had aftermarket radio prior but was taken out b4 she got the car. when she first got the car the clock worked on the dash but now she says it only flashes on every now and again. the wire that is supposed to supply the constant power to the deck is not powered.

any help would be greatly appreciated

I suggest you go to the Camry forum over at AutomotiveForums.com and download the generation 3 Toyota Camry service manual. The manuals are stickied there at the top of the forum. They are available to download there for free. The generation 3 manual is actually from a 94 Camry. The electrical section should have what you need to trace down this problem.

Clock and radio share the constant on, Dome or Radio 1 or 2 power source. This powers both the clock and radio memory.
