3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey guys, I have a question. I'm real interested in mating a Gen 3 Camry steering wheel into my Solara. I'm pretty sure it will fit, please let me know if you know it wont. My question is... Does anyone have a black gen 3 camry wheel laying around that they'll sell to me? The tan one won't match and the blue one wont look good at all. I want the black one. It will look good with my interior. So if anyones got one they'll sell PM me or post up here.
I could be wrong but, I don't think there is a black gen 3 camry steering wheel.
Or atleast I never saw one.

Well, if you're going to pull your stock wheel off anyway, why not just repaint it to match? You're not going to find a black SE wheel anytime soon, if ever. Why would you want a gen3 wheel though? I would go for a newer 3-spoke wheel instead.

The 92-96 ES300 had a Black Steering wheel (Some in Leather). LOT more common then the Camry. As well, the Mk4 Supra had a black Leather steering wheel. All should be interchangable.

Thanks for the quick replies, Here are my main reasons for wanting a gen 3 wheel. I know it will fit with no modification, and for its cost. I would like a 3 spoke wheel, but I'm afraid that it would cost too much to get one from a celica. I will look into the other wheels mentioned above. The 3 spoker is starting to grow on me. Lol.
I don't know if he is still selling it. I was going to by it myself, but I changed my mind because I didn't have money and unsure how to take off the wheel. Hope this helps.
3rd gen se leather wheels are hard to find... and i know there's no way i'm selling mine =P
just one thing to look out for: make sure the airbag connections are the same. if i recall correctly, there's just an 18mm nut holding the wheel to the column.
