4th Generation Must Kill Door Chime

Ok heres the deal. Ive got a 01 CE and since i bought the car ive been tring to remove the door chime. Well finally i got around to it and i tracked it down to some little gray box. I think its in the box but the box has all the power door controls in it and i dont want to just rip it open. My question is if anyone has ever removed the door chime. At least get it to stop beeping.

Please no comments like rig the door senors. I just want to kill the chime. Gotta find a way to get to it.

There should be a really small speaker in it. And I think the box your looking at is the Integration Relay on the back of the fuse block.

Yeah but that fuse has to power more than just a little chime. Wouldnt i lose other functions by pulling the fuse. Like the dome light.

It is the integration relay that is buzzing. You'll need to crack it open and desolder the buzzer if you want to mute it - permanently.

Yah very likely you'll lose some other stuff by pulling fuses. Instead you want to try to cut the key unlock warning switch - detach one of the small two-wire connector that goes to your ignition key cylinder. You either silence it, or you may not get your key out if you cut the key interlock solenoid instead. Good luck.

I tried getting the box off but something is holding it on, on top. I guess im gonna have to take off some of those dash panels to get to it. I have no problem desoldering it. I hate that noise so bad.
