A flashing light indicates is a problem with the cruise control system. The system has a built-in troubleshooting system with code readout by the cruise indicator light.
Look for a small plastic box in the engine compartment labeled "Diagnostic" (possible near one of the strut towers). Inside the box are electrical terminals. Turn the ign key to On, use a section of wire to connect the Tc and E1 terminals. If any codes are stored the cruise indicator light will flash out 1 numeral at a time.
Example: 1 flash, pause, 2 flashes = code 21.
Code will flash out from lowest number to highest number then repeat. If no codes are stored the light will flash at a constant rate.
When you get the code(s) post them.
