1MZFE Short Block Weight

Anyone know the weight of a 1MZFE Short Block, with internals in the motor?

Not long block, short block.

Thanks in advance.

i don't have a lift, and don't want to go buy one. my buddy's is a tiny one, but is rated at like 400 lbs (weak, lol). If you were to take a guess, what would you say, 200-250? or is it really that heavy?

400lb capacity should be fine. Me and another little guy (i'm only 5'9" and 135lbs) picked up a sludged 1mz shortblock and carried it across the shop. If you were a big dude, you could probably pick it up yourself... and break your back in the process... but you could do it.

it was basically just the block, rods/pistons and crank. The upper (aluminum) half of the oil pan was also attached, along with its tray. might have had the oil pump still on it too. Other than that, it was pretty well stripped, and was ready to go to the scrap metal bin. In fact, I think it even had a busted rod hanging out the side, too.

if it still had the tranny on it, i really doubt that just two guys could have picked it up. esp an automatic - those are pertty heavy by itself.

it HAD a set of knock sensors, but they mysteriously disappeared before it made it to the bin.

just for people that search this in the future, I AM a big guy (6'3"), and I picked it up myself (entier short block assembly). I would say it weighs between 150-170 lbs.
