Exclamation Crashed Gen 3 Camry....Need Help

Hello everyone! This is my first post.
I crashed my 92 v6 le camry around may of 2008, and has been estimated for repair at around $2000. I drove off a small ice-plant hill and nose dived into a water pump. The frame is bent, grill flew off, and I believe the radiator is messed up as well. The car magically drove me home, but fails to drive as it constantly shuts off.
I am a complete newbie to fixing cars and would very much like to have a project on my hands.

How much do you guys estimate the costs will be if parts are purchased via ebay/internet?
Is asking a mechanic a better option?
Please help!!!

I will post more pictures if requested.

looks totaled to me. The frame damage looks severe. Will require a frame rack and probably more than $2000 grand parts and labor. Take it to a body shop and get some estimates, your mechanic would be able to tell you as much as a body shop.

That's not the kind of project a normal person can do. I do concur, it looks totaled to me. How much is the car worth? Have you spoken with your insurance company? I would assume it won't stay on because of a messed up motor mount/knock sensor. Best you take it to a mechanic somehow and see what can be done.

Car is totaled, around $5-6k in repaires. Frame damage is a big part of that to fix, IF it can be fixed. Junk it and get a new one.

Thanks for the replies. The insurance company does not cover the accident and a local wants to purchase the car as-is for approx. $700. Is it worth keeping or just sell it off? It has a new engine with 70,000 miles.

I'm currently looking into a gen 3 ES300 as a new car.

If you were closer to me, I'd but the engine/tranny from you, but shipping would kill it.

I agree, you would get more parting it than the $700.
