98 Camry Door Replacment Question

Greetings all,

I have a 98 Camry that recently had some lovely person reverse into it leaving a large dent in my rear driver side door. I am looking to do the replacement myself but wanted to know if I am limited to 98 Camry doors, or if the doors for the 97\99\00\01 models would also work?

The 98 doors local to me are going for a 100 or so more then the others so figure its good to find out before I drive around Canada picking these things up.

Thanks in advance

Be sure to know if your car was made in TMMK (US) or TMC (Japan) different paint colour and fading is possible.
Your power window control switch should work, 97 to 99 will fit, 00 and 01 have different electrical connections (wiring pins are different) even though plug is same. If that is the case, you will need to gut and replace.

Thanks for the quick reply Havok, I have a feeling I will need to do some gutting on the door for the power features and perhaps replacing the glass.

I will need to find out where my car was manufactured, do you know any tricks to find that out? I am not even sure where to check.

I believe the first few characters of the VIN will tell you where the car was manufactured, but I'm not sure which characters mean US vs. Japan.
