LPG 1000KLM report Gen 4 Imz manual

After 1000 klm running about town with heaps of throttle.

I get 410 Klm out of 49 litres of LPG
@.55cnts Ltr = $27 to travel 410 KLM
Petrol 11.5Lt/100Klm @$1.10 Ltr 410 Lkm =$50.60

Over 410 Klms I save $23.60 consistantly.
Over 16400Klm I save $954 in one Year...
more than the cost of rego & oil changes...(FREE)

Engine runs noticably smoother.
No gas smell at all.
perfect start up.
No pollution.
Government pays $2000 towards installation.
Absolute no brainer at the pump I don't need a fifty
to fill up...

Wow !

I thought i was the only one with a 1mz-fe on LPG.
What system are you driving with?

I run with a Landi LSI.

It sounds like your car is driving perfect.
These are my figures:

I get 370 Klm out of 49 litres of LPG

so 1L/7.5Km even before i installed the s/c.

Yeah, BTM I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it...
The only 'real' downside is the loss of some boot space
and trying to decide what to spend your free money on...

What I really appreciate with LPG on the 1MZ is how much smoother it runs... much smoother
i've had 'GAS' on lots of cars, but this new set-up with the stepper motor and signal from the o2 sensor is the best by far.

The system is by GasFlowTech, it has it's own management system and the gauge is allso very accurate.
It is a Lamda System...

Over here down under we talk in terms of Ltrs per 100Klms
On a Higway trip I got as much as 360 Klm from 40.6 Ltrs that's 8.87Ltr/100Klms which is very good...

But I prefer the real world stuff... How many dollars per 100Klms (show me the money)
The above was $7.55/100Klms
My latest was $6.59 / 100Klms

What do u mean by 'before I installed th s c' ...
does it mean u supercharged your car??

hey JV you getting less out of your gas because maybe it is an auto and those things suck up so many revs spinning the torque converter before anything happens is why the figures not so good like mine...

PS: I really liked it when u said mine was running perfectly, which it is...

I would like to hear more about the S C, did u put it on or what and how does it go etc...

maybe u can send one to me, I would like that, I allways wanted A S C'ed car, had turbo and they are good but never had S C... I like my grunt to come in at about 950rpm and don't like to rev past say 4k...
That the only prob with these 1MZ, the powerband is too high... and even then, only just enough but I'm not complaining... Looking forward to a later model in a couple years anyway, they'll be cheap as by then...

Hi Troyboy,

For about 2 years i drive with a TRD S/C:
http://www.toysport.com/New%20Produc...erchargers.htm

TRD don't sell them anymore. So if you want one, you need to find a used one.
http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php?t=42761

But that is the beginning of a long story. There are many things yo need to upgrade before going for a trouble free run:
-jims fuel upgrade.....for the times you run on gasoline.
-apexi piggy back ......or something like that
-A/F meter
-replace your knocksensor...they will blow.(they are not cheap)
-upgradeing your LPG system. (my s/c v6 need as much LPG as a normal v8)
-your LPG system must me able to run with a s/c system. (you not only have vacum but als so boost ;-)
-after that is is wise to do a dyno run to tune your fuel systems. (if you can find someone that can tune LPG)

But there is also good news:
-LPG has a high octane....so less knocking
-If you have a LPi (LPG) system you have a incooler effect. (LPi system is spraying lpg in liquid form in the s/c and evaporate)

Thanks Champ but i'm going to wait a little for later model prices to tumble even further then grab one...
Interesting about higher octane LPG, means we can run higher advance on the 1MZ... do you know how to advance the ignition timing I wonder...
Thanks all your info,
I like d it when you said my car was running perfectly...
