Question What bulbs are they???

I can't afford HID's. So I was wondering what brand of headlight bulbs the prius's use. They fool me sometimes into thinking they are HID's! I see some slighty older (between 2000 and 2003 I'd say) Lexus and Mercedes with this type of bulb and I WANT THEM!!!! I've used Silverstars, but they do not come close to the look of the Prius, although I have not used the Ultras so maybe they're closer to the Prius bulbs...I don't know.

Thanks

they are HIDs ....

HIDs come OEM in projector and non-projector housings, kinda like the Lexus IS300 (non-projector but still an HID housing)

Dammit! So, I'm guessing those bulbs are completely different and wouldn't work on other car huh?

Well, I've been thinking about getting these Nokya bulbs. They are high wattage. You can buy this sorta harness thing thats supposed to prevent burning out your stock harness. Anyone have experience with this or know anything about what I'm talking about?

Just be aware that your housings won't be able to handle the HID bulbs correctly. You'll be glaring the crap out of everyone, and could get a cop's attention.

For a while I wanted to get HIDs too, but thought it was too much work, and just swapped my high beams in.

Is this a question or are you saying YOU have a page with everything on it?

If you're asking me that question, just look on ebay and enter nokya 9006 or whatever bulb you want and you'll see the wire harness I'm talking about. I don't know how you would use it though, but I haven't read up on it either to find out.

I use Nokya Arctic White Stage 2 80W.
After 1.5 years, they are still alive.
Comparing with the price, I think this bulb is worth the price. (Around $20 on ebay)

But there are 2 different kinds of the bulbs on ebay,
They are both Nokya Arctic White Stage 2, but different watt.
You need to pay attention to this.

This one is 80W.

This one is 100W.

The photo of 100W is the same as it shown on NOKYA website. (The photo of 80w is not.)
Maybe the 80W is the old version?
I have no idea.

By the way, I do use a high-watt harness.
But I don't know it's necessary or not.

Would you have or could you take some pics of your bulbs at night? I'm torn between the Artic White and the Cosmic White.

Thanks either way!

With hi-bean. The hi-bean is Nokya Arctic Purple Stage 2. (I think it's more like Arctic Pink.)
