has anyone had an issue when you put the window down it does not come up immediately. After a good amount of pulls on the lever it came up about half way and then I had to wait a while and try it again to get it to come up. The other windows were all working fine but not the drivers side window. My daughter told me(now that I asked) the same thing happened to her a couple of weeks ago and she forgot to tell me. What should I be looking at as the culprit? I have a 99 Camry
My window would come up 3/4 of the way and then sorta stop, but the car had been hit a couple weeks back, I actually cut some of the rubber near the front end off and slicked it up with some lubricants and it worked fine again.
sounds like the motor- my sienna had the same problem, so I just replaced the motor (and the regulator too, though I didn't have to- but for another 10bucks for the entire assembly, why not, right?)

i agree w/ eye8 - window motor. which you CAN usually get separate from the regulator, and save a bit of cash. when a window moves for a few seconds then quits, the motor is overheating and seizing up. New one will cure it. I wouldn't waste my time on a junkyard motor or regulator tho - you have no idea what condition it's in or how long it'll last if it does happen to work.
