Windshield Molding

The molding around the windshield of my '99 seems to be different at the top compared to my dad's '98. Am I missing a piece on the top or is there just a difference in the two model years?

I think it is because yours is a Gen 4.5 and your dad's is a Gen 4. So yes, there is a difference between the two cars.

I thought 4.5's were the 2000 and 2001 models? They were modified in the front facia and other areas, mine does not have these changes.
