New Camry owner, window does not work

Just picked up my '98 Camry LE, and the only thing I could find mechanically wrong with the car is that the driver's side window does not work. The switch can operate all the other windows, but when I push or pull the button for the driver''s side front window, I don't even hear a clicking noise or anything.

Where should I start? I''m assuming this is not a motor problem since it would be going very slow...could it be the switch, or a relay?

I noticed the lights slightly dim when any other window switch is pressed, but nothing happens when I press that one button. This leads me to believe it's a wiring or switch issue. Thoughts?

Thanks

the driver's side window switch often seems to die on our cars.

the best way to test it is to take the door apart and then put a 12volt source to the motor leads and if the window goes up and down (just reverse the polarity for each way) then it's the switch. Then just go hit up a local junkyard, car-part.com, or ebay for a new master switch for about 50bucks shipped

If the motor ain't moving or becoming hot, then it's time for the new window actuator.

OK I'm familiar with the switch, regulator, and the motor, but what is the actuator? I can't find anything on google or ebay, I'm assuming it's the motor itself?

maybe he's talking about the power lock actuator?

How much do you want for it? I'm going to test mine later or tomorrow and will let you guys know what I find. I'm hoping it's the switch, but if it's the motor and your price is right I'll take it off your hands.
