fan stopped working/ power steering pump leaking badly

Hey guys,

My fan blower stopped working recently and wondering if anyone has any ideas. Also, my power steering pump is leaking badly and wondering if anyone knows of a fix instead of replacing it? its a 93 se

So none of the fan speed settings work at all? Maybe the blower motor crapped it, or all the resistor coil packs for the fan switch blew.

I don't think you can service the pump. Just go to the wreckers or junkyard for one. Not too hard to change.

yeah nothing works the switch does nothing. I think it went out when i started my car after the fan was on hi.

Check to see if you have power and ground at the connector at the fan motor. If you have both then more than likely you just need the blower motor, if not more checking will be required.

As far as your power steering pump, here is a link you can read over to see if rebuilding the pump is something you want to tackle yourself, page 41: http://www.camrystuff.com/manuals/Gen3/sr.pdf. That is if the pump is working but just leaking.

the two problems are most likely related....on the 92-94 v6. the power steering pump runs the hydraulic fan.


where and how is the powersteering pump leaking? is it at the pump? or at one of the lines?

^ I think he means that HVAC fan, not the radiator fan.

For the fan, check for power at the connector and check fuses.
For the PS pump I would just say replace it.
