Help 93 camary

Dear forum members earlier today the temperature reached negative 15 and while trying to open the door to my car I accidently pulled the door handle off. The way it broke off would be easy to apply some type of heavy duty glue to fix. Would this work? If not could you give me a quote on the repair costs, thanks guys

It's broke- you can try it but I haven't heard of anyone claiming success. I replaced one with a salvage unit about three years ago and it broke a year later. New one color-matched and installed was about $140 at a body shop.

Their about a 100 bucks at the Dealership color matched. I've bought two. They'll need your vin# if you decide to go that route.

You maybe could find another handle on Ebay, your color if your lucky, for less.

Or you can give the glue a try. Be sure to let us know how it works out.

Been there, done that.

Finding the right color in a boneyard is unlikely. The outside handles and antennas are the first things stripped from a Camry.

There are aftermarket handles available for under $20, and the quality is pretty good. You can even get them pre-painted -- some enterprising guy on fleabay rattlecan paints them in batches and marks them up. I think the mark-up is a little steep, but the price might be worth it to you. (Hmm, I just checked: there seems to be competition and the pre-painted price has dropped.)

Replacing the handle isn't difficult, but will take about an hour the first time. A shop will do it in less time, but charge you a full hour and probably not put things back carefully, or with all of the screws.

Or if you don't feel like taking the handle out only. You can make your Camry look bomb-y by just changing the whole door. Now the handle matches..........the door XD

And then respray it to match.
