3rd Generation gen 3 diy gauge change...help!!!!

I was wondering if anyone had or could make a diy for a gen 3 face gauge installation. I got black reverse gauges and want to install them myself if possible. Anything would be great!!!!

there's a diy but i think pics doesn't work anymore. but search and you'll find 1..

on connector at the back of the cluster, look for a green wire with silver. that's the power wire.

Good luck.

BTW, remember to unplug the battery first, or you will get a SRS error light on.
(Does taking out the fuse of SRS also work? )

Removing the fuse will disable it, but I do believe cranking off the - battery terminal would be safer (just in case )

Here's mine. Black reverse glow gauge faces. I didn't disconnect the battery. I wouldn't suggest leaving the battery connected though. I was just lucky I didn't trip a code I guess.

Thanks for all the help!! another question though, when you take off the black cover around the radio, does it just pop out? or are there screws or anything? And what about getting the new gauge faces over the needles? do they come off?

That trim panel just pops out. Just use a flat screw driver at the bottom corners of the panel.
