Depends on what I need.
Oil, Light bulbs, Wiper Blades - local Auto parts store
Oil Filter - local Toyota Dealer
Tires - Les Schwab (tire chain in the Northwest)
Brakes/Suspension - The Tire Rack
Battery - Sears
That's really about it. I haven't needed to fix much.
I bought tires from Discount Tires Direct once, but it was mounted on new alloy wheels, balanced and ready to go. It made sense as they mount, balance and ship free, if you order it tires+ wheels.
However, unless your car requires a unique size or you really want a specific (brand type)tire, I found that online tire buying online isn't necessarily worth it. Most cars I've owned used very standard tire sizes (185/70R14, 205/65R15), which you can find a lot of good selections locally.
I bought from the Tire Rack many times (brake pads, struts, etc.) but have not bought tires from them since 1991. Their prices for struts, brakes are much better than I can get from a local parts stroe.
I buy oil by the case, and there's typically a coupon in the Sunday paper for Castrol GTX for 99 cents/quart at the local auto parts store. Wipers and bulbs I buy there also for convenience.
You can buy batteries from a lot of different places (and most are made by Johnson Controls) , but I have had excellent luck with Sears Die Hard brand, so I continue to stick with them. I had a 48 month Die Hard battery in my VW last 7 years and the Die Hard Gold battery in my Maxima has lasted 10 years and still working.
I buy the Toyota Oil Filter from the dealer as it's the most convenient (located between my house and work) and I can get a 2 filters for 3 deal coupon usually. I can also check out the new cars :-)
The stereo is stock on my current Camry, but all my audio components (speakers) came from Crutchfield.com for my Maxima and the 1988 Camry I owned. Great Selection with good prices and excellent service.
