00 camry headlight projectors

im new here to the camry forum. i was wondering if they sell HID projectors for the 4th gen camrys i want to put some on my sisters camry. they said that you have to get projectors or it is illegal to use hid kits with the stock headlights because they are not projectors. please tell me where i can get some projectors for a 2000 camry thanks...

there are none. all they make are clear halo headlights that people midify with projectors. whats noticed by the cops(in most places) is when the HIDs are really bright. thats usually due to glare from the stock housing. now ive never had HIDs in the gen4.5(00-01) but on my gen4 they were fine with stock housings. descent cutoff and little glare.

Ah but they do make them. These are the only ones i have found after quite a lot of searching, but I'll warn you...they are $695. Custom made apparently

^^ Quite pricey!!! It would be much cheaper to buy the Halo version and do your own retrofit...

Yes. I retrofit would be the best to route to go. that price is a little ridiculous
