92 Camry gas smell

Just bought a 92 6 cylinder Camry and it has a smell of gas in the engine compartment. I am being told it is probably fuel injectors, if that is correct can I save money and just replace 1 or 2 and any other experience with this "smell/problem" would be appreciated., where to buy them for less, etc.
Does this diagnosis sound familiar/correct, is this a common problem?

Depending on the mileage of the vehicle, most of the time it is just the seals that are leaking. One other possible source of fuel leak is the pulsation damper mounted at the end of the fuel rail. Do a close inspection you might be able to see what is the cause of the fuel smell.

If it is the injectors, there is a variety of options (not just replacing) among them is a company called witch hunter (google it) they refurbish injectors and will provide before and after flow tests.

Updated diagnosis

Turns out there is a leak in the gas tank, I thought the injector diagnosis was rare, this really surprises me, thought the Camry was a decent car overall?
Mechanic says it isn't easy to pinpoint where it is coming from on the tank either.

Didn't you say the smell was from the engine compartment?

Actually, fuel leak at the injector is not un-common for high mileage vehicles, but most of the times, it is the seals that are leaking.

Problem resolved

Turned out the gas smell was the result of a crack in the front seam of the fuel tank, used Permatex gas tank and radiator sealer and it seems to have worked.
