You need to start troubleshooting by testing for spark and fuel.
The safest way to check for spark is to buy a spark plug tester for a few dollars at an auto parts store. You insert a spark plug in it along with the spark plug wire still attached to the coil pack and ground it, Then have someone crank the engine while you look for a nice blue spark; blue not orange. Orange indicates a weak spark.
A simple test to see if the car is getting fuel is to remove the large rubber tube leading to the throttle body. Now spray some O2 safe carb cleaner in there. Now reinstall the tube and crank the engine. It probably won't start, but it should sputter a bit on the carb cleaner if lack of fuel is the problem.
Perform these simple tests and report the results back here and we can give you some direction on further testing.

PS: You still haven't said how many miles are on this car or what if any recent maintenance has been done to it. What engine; I4 or V6?
