Speaker Question

I have a 96' Toyota Camry. I have two 12 inch subwoofers and amp in my trunk. It sounds good... untill i close the trunk that is. It makes this rattling noise from the subs. Can anyone tell me what I can do to stop this? I can't come up with anything. I mean, its not bad enough to make me take them out but i would like for it to stop.

From what the dynamat manufacturers and other people say, i would say yes, but i have no personal experience with it, there's a lot of materials just like dynamat out there for less

Crutchfield! lol That's where I get all my audio knowledge from.

I bought the dynamat trunk kit and it works on my 400 rms system. It's pretty heavy and expensive.

License plate frames will make noise when the subs are going. Take the frame off and put one side sticky foam around the edge between the plate and the frame. Also put some between the back of the plate and the body. You can isolate the rest of your noise after that.

I've never heard a 100% rattle-free trunk with subs going. Even when a friend of mine got an installer to do full dynamat, AND squeeze silicone between all metal-on-metal joints he could find in the trunk.

But good luck

Also, you could try putting dynamat all around the insides of your sub box. that might help. But dynamat isn't cheap.
