My cruise control stop working...

I was driving on the interstate a few days ago with the crusie control. It was working fine until I step on the brake and try to set it again. What could be wrong...

I had that problem at random one day on the highway where it just stop working. Driving @ 110km/hr and without touching the brakes or clutch, my Cruise turned off and didn't work. Got home disconnected the negative terminal to the battery for 1 min and tested it the next day and to my surprise it worked again.

I would suspect the brake light/cruise control switch maybe at fault.

LOL, reminds me of when I worked on my car, CC stopped working, and finally found out I forgot to plug the wiring harness back into the unit. Duh.

I would think it was a dirty contact, switch, etc. Hopefully not the unit itself.

I'll take a look at it later. I'm ok without cruise control for now.
