NO Reverse

I am buying a 95 2 door 4cyl auto 155k

Drives fine accept no reverse

I will try the lucas trick to soften the possible bypass

and can I code it to get an idea

I am getting another tranny with it but maybe an easier fix?

Thanks

You don't need reverse. Just drive in a circle when you need to turn around.

I lost reverse on my '93 camry a few years ago. It takes approximately twice the pressure to clamp the clutch pack for reverse, than it does to clamp the clutches for drive. I put 2 bottles of LUCAS trans additive in to soften the clutch pack piston seals, and after a little while and a few thousand miles, reverse was almost completely restored. I used the trans for 3 years afterwards till I found a good replacement, it never did fail.

Camry6 is Cool

THanks sooo Much

I tried that AND IT WORKED

At first I couldn't really tell.. Then I felt a very little tug bairly....

went for a long drive and occationally would put it in reverse after stopping and it slowly got more and more.

I had already got another used tranny to throw in it but wanted to cheak that out..

Thanks again.... You Rock!

It never coded anything. The tranny guy said that is normal and REVERSE GEAR IS AN INTERNAL PROBLEM
