92 Camry transmission

What do these two symptoms mean as exactly as possible instead of "bad transmission"? Singing sound in drive/overdrive around 40 and up and a burnt smelling transmission fluid, but it shifts and acts fine otherwise?

Check condition of trans fluid, should be red or reddish in color not black.

No noise if you let of gas or shift trans into Neutral at hwy speeds?

Thanks for being specific

Changed trans fluid (drained only), put Lucas in., noise happens above 40 and will whine/react to accelerating or decelerating in drive/overdrive only, after changing burnt smelling fluid, it still smells burnt, red in color, doesn't slip at all or leak, mechanics first impression is NOT the torque converter but the gears in trans.
