2001 camry experienicng banging from rear going over bumps. I was told to replace the rear anti sway bar bushings. I wd 40d the bolts this eve and plan on removing the old ones in a day or so. I put the car on ramps. Do I need to take the weight of the rear wheels to change these split bushings or can I simply do it with the rear wheels up on the ramp?

Should be able to do it on the ramps. As long as both rear wheels are lifted the same amount, there should be no torsional load on the sway bar.

WD-40 is one of my favorite chemicals, but it is not the best thing to use as a penetrating oil. Use something like PB Blaster. I would even suggest spraying the bolts and then driving the car a day or two. The normal vibration from driving the car helps the penetrating oil work in to the bolt threads.
