3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
so i got my old bumpers repainted and back on. my cousin has done this to his car buy using a garage bottom door seal. He did it for a maxima has anyone done it to a 4th gen? im really thinking about doing it..
That's actually not a bad idea. I don't know how It would look on a gen 4. I'm going to go stare at the front of my gen three and see if I come up with something though. xD

considering how cheap it is just give it a shot. though it may not be the best look since both cars in thoes pics have bumpers that have a fairly vertical bottom. the gen4 curves under and slopes back. but the same has been said about the taurus lip on the gen3, but its popular cuz it costs so little.
Several members on SG actually did this. I don't really see the point of it though; I prefer the simple/clean look with the entire kit. I think it would look better/more subtle on a black car too.
people do this all the time with garden trim and garage door seals.
especially drifters.
I just put one on my corolla by just drilling some drywall screws into my bumper.
the way to make it look "nice" is how careful you are when you install it. a clean install can make it a nice, subtle, stylish addition vs. a quick and dirty hack job that ruins the car. if you want it to look nice, take some time and think about it.
I've actually heard some really good things about this from my buddies in Davis Motorsports Club; I've been meaning to try it. If you do it, let us know how it turns out, and how you did it
