94 Camry alarm disconect/deactivate?

I changed the battery in my 94 Camery, its in a parking lot downtown. I changed the battery because the alarm went off and would not start. I heard, when the charge gets low sometimes it will make the alarm go off. I may not have needed a new battery, however, when I hook the cables up the car alarm goes off and still wont allow the car to start . I have tried pressing the switch on the floorboard behind the clutch peddle on the left side with the ignition on the ACC position. I have also tried unlocking the door with my key so that the car might recognise I have the proper key. Nothing has worked yet. Can anyone help?

I had this vary same problem on my 98 Camry just last week as a matter of fact. The owners manual will describe how to disable the factory alarm if that is what you have?
for me we didn't have the original key for the Camry and none of the other tricks like unlocking the doors windows ect didn't work for me so I had to disarm the alarm system my self, took a while but I managed to do it and not have to worry about that darn thing again.

DO AT YOUR OWN RISK YOUR ALARM MAY BE DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE I HAVE...good luck!!!

How I disarmed the factory alarm was to ......remove the plastic panel cover just below the steering wheel and there is a metal plate cover behind that remove it also.

Then you can see most of the wiring at this point and your looking for 2 (two) black boxes....1 black box is the controller and it maybe tucked back under the dash on the left side maybe just above the big fuse box and it may be tied up with a black wire tie to the frame and is a little hard to get to.Take and cut the strap and try to pull the alarm control box down so you can look at it...DON'T UNHOOK ANYTHING YET!...trace the wires from the bottom and side of the black control box.The wires on the bottom will come from the controller to a fuse 10 amp was in mine RED in color remove that one and it will disable the alarm however when you hook up the battery cables the flashers and head lights will still go off but the horns will not..and the ignition will not start the car yet until you do this....
Now to get the flashers and lights to go off and to start the car..... you have to locate the flasher (black in color and you will find it along the same wiring I think....if not you can here the darn thing and clicking and remember it's not the flasher in the fuse block!.....so find the correct one and once you and the one I have has colored wires going to it and I think I cut the Orange wire only!... and that allowed the engine to start... The black Flasher has to stayed hook up in order for the all your accessories to work correctly and the engine to start ...and if you have the ability to do this then you should be able to put it all back together...
I hope this helps you and please let me know
