NO spark could this be it.

I dont have any spark at the plug wires I took off the cap and noticed a crack between were the internal coil goes to the rotor button I applied 12volts to the center terminal (B) and connected a test lamp to ground and terminal (A). I get nothing. I know that the voltage is much higher than 12 volts that normally goes thru there but should I get the lamp to light up. the number (C) is were the crack is located This makes no sence probably sorry but to make a long story short should I get 12volts to pass from point A to Point B.

Also I checked the coil and according to the manual the resistance from the + to the - side should be between .39 and .55 I get .9 whould that be Ok do you think.
sorry for the poor drawing. Its a 94 camry 2.2L

Go to autozone, advance, orielly's, or your local parts store. Ask them for a new cap. They are inexpensive and easy to install. If you have a crack in the one you have now than you should replace it anyways. If this fixes your problem then....wala!!presto!!bingo!!You Got it Dude!!!

If this doesn't fix your spark problem then replace your coil.

How do you know you aren't getting spark? You MUST ground the threads of the spark plug to the block or other grounded source in the engine bay, then have someone try to start the car. If you dont have spark after trying this, then you have a bad cap, coil, or plug wires. When you get the new cap, make sure you get the rotor button that spins inside the cap. That should be all, really...

Remove the ign wire from the coil that goes to the center of the dist cap. Hold about 1/2 inch from a ground point on the chassis, crank engine and check for spark.

If no spark the problem is not the cap, if spark could be the cap.

If the resistance is suppose to be between 0.35 - 0.55, and you have 0.9, it is too high! What about the secondary, did you check that too?
