camry wheel rub

got a set of 17s on the cam , problem is they rub slightly on the rear on heavy humps when cornering with the 2 kids in the back, all other times its fine. running 235/45/17,s

those little folds of metal that stick out around 1/2 inch under back wheel arch , can they be bent back or cut/ground back without damage to the rear 1/4,s lines/integrity? as that's what they are catching on.

any panel beaters out there?

KK

You want to roll your fender. DIY video ( cheap way, I did this way and it worked great ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDTK9IjKIYU. Or, the more expensive way with a rented tool, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHM-A_aFCoY. Rent the tool @ http://www.rollyourfender.com/ ( USA ) or http://www.nx4industries.com/Fenderr...oolrental.html ( Canada ).

Or, pay big bucks and go to a body shop...

Hope this helps.

I used the body kit (form Harbor Freight and Northern Tool for $25 per set). Heater blower and pound away. Did it on my 3.2 TL which were rubbing in the rear. They will fold easily, make sure they are hot enough to make sure you do not mess up your paint. The golden rule is if the paint is HOT to the touch, just like in a summer day...then it is ready for the pounding.

You will burn a lot of calories, you have been forewarned. Be patient. Good luck.

Beats buying the $200 fender roller...or renting the roller for $50 plus shipping....

After you're done, enjoy the NO rub feel...

They will fold easily...

Idk what metal Acuras are made of, but Camrys are made of tough stuff. I had to use a 4lb sledge to finish up after rolling my '92. Even that barely moved the metal! And yes, I did beat the shit out of it, not just a love tap!

Also, forgot to add before, make sure you fill the fender lip with tar-type undercoating before you roll it, or it will collect water/dirt and rust.
