3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have seen one SE Here in NJ in the past 5 years and that was a green one, most of the coupes here are LE's and there's not many of them either.
I have never seen a black SE in person but now that I seen a picture of it it looks damn good.
The price is STILL a little steep but if you can get it, Get It.

Unless they made a coupe in 92 or 93, then I don't think you could get a v6 5-speed. I've seen only one black SE coupe down here, but it looked like it'd been ran up on a guardrail a few times...

only thing is it has 156k miles. im lookin for a new car to get me through the rest of college and law school. although the exterior and interior has been well maintained, you never can tell with the engine without driving it.
but i just love the gen 3 and 3.5

Unforently you can't always tell even if you have drive the car. Thats why i no longer purchase cars that are above the 130k's in miles.
The biggest thing i learned is to check the shifting while the car is cold and hot. If their is any jerking from P to R or to D, pass up on the car.

black se coupes are rare but 94's are very very rare...
but i just noticed...tan interior? mine was grey lol.
as for the mileage don't bother with that. check the oil, maintnence records, suspension, front end to se if it was repainted, carfax, and the trunk "pockets" left and right side.

Any?
I had a brand new '08 Camry LE has a loaner when my car got hit and there WAS jerking when shifting cold, and there WAS a slight thump when going from D to R or from P to R. Don't tell me you would've passed up on a brand new car.
It's good to check on the shifting when buying a car but don't scare people off because it's normal for a car to have a reaction when you shift it's auto-tranny...
